And there's been a real decline, generation over generation, in knowledge of how clothing is put together, both from a construction standpoint and from a general style standpoint. This used to be passed down in families, at department stores with knowledgeable career salespersons, and in home EC classes, but in a lot of places there's a real erosion of that knowledge.
